Export tips for bookkeeping

A useful tip export includes date, amount, fees, status, location, and payer fields your accountant expects — without exposing more than you need.

The short answer

Export a CSV from Direct Tips for tips sent to your public profile (dates, amounts, fees, status, location, and payer fields). Separately, export from Shared Tips for share transfers that have already landed in your account.

Direct Tips columns

Created date, status, payer name, payer email, location code and name, property, availability, gross amount, platform fee, card processing fee, and net amount.

Shared Tips columns

Received date, who shared (name and username), amount credited to you, share mode and summary, tip count, location and property, share group, tip period, and reconciliation IDs.

What is not included

Tipper message text is not part of the standard export — plan your records around amounts and metadata, not chat-style notes. Queued tips that have not been shared yet are not in either CSV.

Common misconceptions

  • Tip CSV exports do not include private tipper messages — they include amounts, dates, fees, status, and location fields.

  • Direct Tips and Shared Tips are separate CSV exports — Shared Tips covers shares that have already landed in your account.

  • Exporting a tip history is not the same as receiving a tax form — reporting rules depend on your volume and situation.
