Multiple employees and multiple QR codes

When each person or role should receive credit, give them their own page or location code. One printed card can represent one housekeeper, barista, or station.

The short answer

Give each person or role a distinct page or location code so tips credit correctly without asking guests to search a directory.

Hotels

A tent card with the housekeeper's name and a unique code in each serviced room is a common pattern.

Restaurants

A shared pool QR at the register plus optional individual codes for exceptional service is another pattern.

Reporting

Separate codes make month-end reporting honest — you can see who received gratitude, not just what the team earned in aggregate.

Common misconceptions

  • Each employee QR does not require a separate bank account for every person — payouts can still flow through your setup.

  • Multiple staff codes do not mean guests need an OpenTipJar account — each scan opens a normal checkout page.

Try it yourself

Create a free tip page, download a QR code, and share it anywhere guests already pause — counter, room, or link in bio.
